This Sunday the Cornwall BMX Club are pleased to host Round 7 of the South West Summer Series. Registration will be open 9:30 – 11:00.
Postcode for the track is TR4 8HJ. Track is at the top of North Hill in Blackwater, just past the ATV Centre. Signs will be put up around the area but if you come in on the A30 to the A390 roundabout (Starbucks on opposite corner) and take the third exit towards St Agnes and then the road straight across at the mini-roundabout down into Blackwater, North Hill is on your right opposite Hawkins Motors Citroen garage.
The Club are holding their regular Friday night races from 18:00hrs and the track will be open for general riding/practice from 15:00 – 18:00 on Saturday. Saturday evening there will be some races for 16” pit-bikes and Old Skool bikes so if you’ve got one then bring it along and have some fun with us. There are a number of caravan/camping sites in the area and the nearest is Valley View, just up the road. Refreshments and raffle will be available. Trade stalls will be in attendance. And just for the kids we’re organising a ‘sticker shower’ sometime during Sunday’s meeting.
The track has been holding up to the recent bad weather surprisingly well and I’m assured that the sunshine has been booked for the whole weekend, so it should be a great event in delightful surroundings. See you there. Humps
PS: The border guards at the Tamar Bridge have been instructed to allow all Englishmen with BMX bikes in their vehicles to pass through onto the ‘island’.
