Haro group 1 opinions?
« on: June 25, 2009, 11:03 PM »
just had a look Chuddy's  Group1 RS2 in the tech section , i was thinking about one for the OS , noticed a few of the guys at bradford group 1  RS3's i think , i think these are still available at Allens ,  what's the diference between 1,2,and 3, also seem to  be odd angles , how do they ride, obviously thats down to your own set up but you opinion would be appreciated,  i think if they've stil get em there 80 quid for F&F seems resonable to me ?

The RS1 has a 20.25" TT but rides like a 19.5" due to the BB being in the same place which cause the odd angle for the seat tube!!

So it should ride exactly the same.

The RS3 is tri-moly so its not full cro-mo!!

The Higher end RS1 and RS2 are full cro-mo.

A few riders race them and seem to like them!!   I liked mine and still have it!!  :daumenhoch:

Get yourself to Lytham and have a go on one!!  :daumenhoch:

Saturdays?   Race days are Sunday's!!  :D

You dont need a Silver Membership for Winter Series so that would save you a few quid!!

You just turn up and pay your entrance fee!!

Try and make the next dates and meet the lads!!

And if you want a roll around the track then do a Novice Race!!

I have a Haro Group One F+F. 20.5" TT (with the BB being the correct distance away too).  So far better geometry than the RS1-3.

Creamy and Daletsunami and myself have raced it!!

I would accept £80 for it.  It cost me about a £100+ from the US.

If your interested then LMK.   You can build it up and try it out before you buy!

It has other Haro and fusion stuff on it.  Seat, bars, Group One Stem, Haro Cranks and seat post.   Although it would cost you more if you bought all the parts too.

If you live nearby or we can meet up then all you'd need to try it is some wheels, chain and brakes.

No pressure, if your not happy then you dont have to purchase.   You could even race it a Lytham.   Just bring the  wheels, chain and brakes and we'll build it up on the day!!  :daumenhoch:

I've got an RS1 I bought from Alan's last year, just bought a second bike so could be flogging the Haro, I'll be racing it at Lytham on Sunday if you wanna have a look at it... ::)

Haro Group One F+F 20.5" TT circa 1989/1990 (Just a guess)
White Haro Group One Racing Stem
Haro 3pc Cranks 175mm (no decals on them).   They are exactly same as my other NS Haro cranks but no decals.   ???
Tange Seat Clamp
Sugino 45t Sprocket
Haro Fusion Seatpost
Haro Seat
Haro Race Bars (pitted with some chrome peel)

NO BRAKES or BRAKE LEVER..........They will be removed!!

£160 for All of the above
£140 for a generic 'Suntour styled' Silver stem INSTEAD of the White Haro Group One Stem
£80 F+F Only (including whatever headset is already installed)

Does not include postage!!!

This F+F is used but is in fairly good nick.   I'll be taking it to Lytham so if you want a gander then please form an orderly queue!!!  :LolLolLolLol:

OS Racers get first dib dobs.   If no one is interested after a few months then it will be put up in the For Sale Section.

I'd like to get shot of this by MK09.

Just had my maiden voyage on my rs2 around coppul tonight at gate practice, http:// :D

loved it, handled smooth, responsive, fairly balanced ride, just need some gas and air to get beyond the first berm http:// :2funny:

from memory the rs1 and rs2 are the same the rs1 came as a full build and the rs2 f&f only, im sure ive got a download copy of a haro brochure mentioning this.

go for it, well worth it for an old school ride for us oldies http:// ;D ;D
