Funniest Old School Memory!

Just starting a few new threads to get things moving a bit!

My favourite would be seeing one of my mates ride vert naked. Feck me it was funny but scary also, if he'd have slammed, which was highly likely as he was pi$$ed, he would have been mince meat! Yes it was one of those you have to be there moments but hey ho!

I'm sure you lot's got some more so get thinking!

i can remember a guy called clive riding bevans halfpipe (which was made with wood stolen from british rail,etc) and he crashed carving at speed on the ramp.
smashed his mouth into the ramp (which was artex finished in places due to used wood). teeth out on the ramp and blood dripping , and tomo ushering him off the ramp quickly so as not to get blood on the white ramp.

seems harsh now but clive was one of those characters in life...

our local place was called the foxes hills and it ran alongside a brook, it had about a 6foot drop into the water, saw a lad doing fronthops, went too far over head first into the water fooking classic, another lad pushed one of his nadds back up into his stomach on his crossbar, i can still hear him scream

i think the fact that chingford had a great ramp,but none of the locals rode it much.
but we were good at getting drunk/stoned and taking the piss out of people.

fun night on the lash at the euros in italy one year, got up and we'd managed to lose neil wood somewhere along the way, we found him by the beach sound asleep with some old brasses knickers and an inflatable crocodile he'd nicked

Easy one this.....

Pat (arma)  climbing down off the halfpipe wall at Rom and getting his race pants snagged on a nail or bit of re-bar or something, suspending him just a few inches off the ground. So after ahnging there thrashing around and screaming for a bit he yelled out -

"I bet this never happens to Bob Haro"

Maybe not so funny but was at the powder monkey track and my mate had just picked up a new supergoose so thought I would bust a few moves on it...first off an endo..he had the brakes on the opposite sides and I smashed my ball bag off the stem...Agony !

My old mate Mark Egan's run at Alfreton in 89...

In his run, did his 1st air landed flat on the floor and bounced off, losing his glasses...

he spent the remainder of his run on his hands and knees searching for his gigs!! hehe!!

Shouldn't have laughed I suppose... but it was hilarious... still makes me laugh now!!

invading the hoedown was funny, sliding down the roof of the tent and getting chased off by some of the locals (crazy erics neck of the woods)

or watching butterworth and sibley at any service station en route. Putting pornos inside kiddies comics and waiting to watch what happened

or driving the hire bus round and round in circles very fast at a  service station whilst our team dad driver was off getting drunk and nick martin and butterworth were hanging onto the roof for dear life

These are great...for me, it has to be seeing Beak Dorking pick up a baseball bat, put on a bell moto 4 and start yelling, I'll kill those theives!!! right after the skyway van got broken into and a load of stuff nicked up in Newcastle. I think there's some blokes on this forum that know who done the van in. Watch out, Beak Dorkings is still about   

We all got the giggles when that all broke out, it was hard not to laugh.

Haha I remember this if its the same time I'm thinking of, it was the bfa national at Killingworth, Newcastle around  85/86 they tried to nick carlo's vincent quarter pipe after the comp and dorkings was running up the street with a baseball bat like a man possesed.

McDonald's food fights in London. Confusing the hell out of police when asked to stop busking. Trying to convince the women in Soho to pay US. Switzerland Squeaking to the edge of tube platforms and freaking out the bystanders. Filming pedestrians getting soaked while Nick Elkan drove his Fiery Phoenix through rain puddles. Going to the restroom in Texas on the way to a comp, wrapping a turd in toilet paper, and placing it in the middle of the waiting room lobby as our van was being repaired.

yer i remember that turd in the paper , the van was in after the tyre blew trying to spin it round after reversing at high speed.

not funny at the time (1982) but is now cycling to school over what was then called seven hills did a tabletop, pants got stuck in the chainwheel, landed in the same position
six weeks in hospital with bruised kidney and internal bleeding mind you the nurses were nice for a fifteen year old http://
