from the hardo website....

"it took us 2 years to get this bike out as we've been spending alot of time propping up our dieing mtb range, but it feels like 30 as none of us actually knew of or worked at hardo when it was out!!
the year was 1978. The rider was Bob Hardo. we didnt even know there was money to be made yet, but the man had a vision. That vision is locked in time a little bit by this bike. The Original Freestyler isnt a retro bike in the purest sense as we had a load of mid school parts left over from our "shyster" range a years ago and threw them on it, our p-chop guy did the stickers for us and thats all it needs really-instead it is a 1990's interpretation of the bike hardo used to get the ball rolling,it features lots of conveniences like a chrome toilet that you can take a dump in any time you want,
old school or old tool? you decide
we only know one thing for certain-you fookers will buy anything and this hardo original freestyler is sad."

Do you think anyone at Haro is aware of what a complete marketing cock up they've made ??? Releasing such a watered down rip off of the original??

They could have doubled the price and made a decent job of it and the haro fan's out there would have still bought it?
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

I'm, to be honest, looking foward to seeing the bikes people make out of the frame and forks.

£400?

now that's a lot of Wonga for that, and still no front brake??? or if there going to be I assume it's a regular caliper, but every pic i see shows no front brake, on a retro freestyle bike I would have thought that would be essential?
