As of right now I will be recycling the crank arms from a set of Haro Fusion cranks, but I need to replace the spindle as the old one I had was threaded.  I'm mainly wondering how much clearance I will need.

you say it's theaded?  but i'm guessing you still have the spindle though?  if so bang it in and see if it's okay then go for one the same size? or add or take away as needed??

failing that buy a new crank set with spindle..........as a fail safe get the biggest and use spacers?
