Team Mongoose/Supergoose 2
« on: November 16, 2007, 06:01 PM »
I been on the hunt for either of these 2 frame/fork sets for a while..
Looking for around a 79/80 year..
what are the differences between the team type goose & the supergoose 2.. :-\
Both types of frames come out as t-c serials..so i am a bit stumped apart from the fact that supers were chrome..altho i think the super 1 was nickle aswell as the team...are the forks of a different type also...
I was just wondering if there differences was purley cosmetic..paint,addons..useing the same frame type in chrome moly just different parts & paint.....
HHHMMM  :-[

Mmmmm  :-\  not sure on that one they do look identical, The only thing i can think of is that maybe the team had thinner walled tubing a bit like the proclass and supergoose3 the only way to tell them apart is the rear drop outs are thinner and the bottom bracket tubing is thinner, also the proclass is lighter due to the thinner walled tubing compared with the supergoose3

T stamped frames were the mk1 style with blade rear drops
as said above all were identical except for parts spec and finish on the team and supers

the mk2 with the stepped rear drop outs came around 81 ish till 82/83
and didn't have the T stamp as the serial number style changed
also so as far as i am aware the team goose was never made in the mk2 guise
the way to tell a super over a regular goose (for 95% of them amy ways) is
the super has a 3 hole brake bridge, it should also have a flatened seat stay on the drive side
