the primo dirt-monster is more of a mid-school tyre than the compIII ever was :daumenhoch:

the first dirt-monsters came out in 98 whereas the first compIII's came out way way back in the 80's! i realise they still made the comp's in the 90's but they still make them now so you could say it's an old school tyre that they just never stopped making,

they were still selling "1 holmes frames in the shops in 98 so you could rightously fit them,

i'd have probs preffered to use the skinwall comp's but they worked out at double the price of the skinwall D-monsters,ok for a show bike but i always intended to ride my old holmes,

dont forget about the primo v-track too,
and the odyssey overbite,
maybe even khe lamello's if its doing ramp and park work :daumenhoch:

Yep, you can still get old stock in 1.5, a while back I contacted Primo in the UK (can't remember who the distributer is) and they told no-one wants skinwall so they're not bringing them in  :yahoo_silent:.

Did the Dirt Monster come out after the V Monster then?

a few years after, sean mckinney developed the v-monster pretty early on in the primo line-up, the dirt-monster is like a heavier treaded version of it if you look close,

ygt's right though it is fairly late in the mid-school , the way i try to look at it is if you bought a "1 holmes in 95/96 you'd likely still be riding it in 98, so theres every possibilty you could have used them?

all this talk of the V-tracks is making me want a set for the challenger though!
