I used to go every week, Wednesday I think. From when it first opened (91 ish I think). I liked the very first layout the best, with the big mini with the massive deck with a flat bank going into a small street area with a steep "wallride" on the back of the vert. It went down hill from there (IMO) but I guess it was what skaters wanted at that time.

I entered 2 or 3 contests there, mini and street.

Ive got loads of footage from there, some from BMX Vids and some from friends vids.

Top place, loved it!

The first layout was the best 91ish with the big mini by the door, that ramp was awesome! Grew to love the roll-in later on and the quarter that backed onto the vert ramp by the toilet. Also remember Chris getting pissed at the comps and making an arse of himself! Great days and a great park ( It'll never be the same)  :'(

Hoffman was there at one of the contests I entered. I dont think he rode cos his shoulder was pretty bad. One of my mates got his autograph but the only bit of paper my mate had with him was a prostitute card from a Northampton phone box. He's still got it.

I remember the roof above the vert ramp was too low for him, Jerry had the same problem, and me (not).

Used to have the odd roadtrip up there to Radlands, always a good day out.  Learnt 360s over that wee kicker to pyramid driveway thing, wallrides from those two loose quarters and my first pegstalls on the 8ft quarter that backed onto the vert ramp.

Happy days   :)

Well Matt still fired out a Double tailwhip air on that vert, just rode in, a few airs & BANG! put his bike down & went back to chilling! my jaw was on the floor! He also did the MC bit @ one of the comps there too  :daumenhoch:

I miss Thursday nights @ Raddies..... :smitten:
