That seems ages ago that first race. 

We certainly have come along way since then.

And I think I can lay claim to a germ of an idea a few years ago at Braintree when we had an OS race at a January meeting with Craig Schofield in the line-up which proved so successful - dragged QuadPaul out of retiremen!!  The whole OS idea has blossomed via Hersden and the RADBMX MK events and from those little acorns we can see some serious oak trees growing.  Already some of the guys doing the OSSS are talking about joining the Cruiser ranks and Masterclass on NuSkool rides in 2008.  And let's not forget that this Series has brought some riders onto the scene who have brought along their kids for the next generation of BMXers. 

My personal thanks to the guys behind the OSSS for bringing together some great guys and gals on some great old bikes.  OK some of us never raced bitd but this Series has given us a chance to race at a level that doesn't put us against some of the elite of laterday BMX and most of all it's been great fun.  No doubt there will be an autopsy on the Series at the end and we can look back and marvel at some of the highlights, cry at the injuries and laugh at some of the stupid things we've done.  Looking forward to that!!  Humps
