Farnborough In The 80's
« on: January 29, 2007, 04:53 PM »
I have been searching through all my photos and found this one taken In Farnborough. The local club arranged for us to use the car park outside Camberley Auto Factors on Hawley lane. This picture is just a few who were around at the time, did anyone else on here ride in the area ?

In the picture are (left to right)
Dave Callister, me (helmet hair), 2 guys I can't remember (sorry), Darren Walsh, Mike Goodman and Chris Laney

I have quite a few but they aren't brilliant quality. Here is Darren Walsh at one of the displays we did. I will scan a few more in, feel free to tell me to stop if it gets too boring  ;)

I think I only ever got one set of them cos they got dirty so quick. I bought some Michelin road tyres which were similar but without the white walls that I still have on the bike.

Cool pics, I used to ride down that way a lot, my best mate moved house to Camberley and went to Tomlinscote School near Frimley.  Used to ride the Farnborough ramps a lot and also up at the ranges, some awesome jumps round there  :daumenhoch:  My mate lived up on the Heatherside Estate and was a pretty good rider too, his name is Darren Norman  :daumenhoch:

A few pictures of Mike Goodman, taken in 1984 I think.
