Cheers for the appreciation, this thing has been long in the waiting, at the moment i have 2 sets of wheels on order that i am going to switch between. A set of black sealed bearing tuffs with whitewalls and a set of white ukai's, black suzue sealed hubs, chrome spokes and black nipples run on comp 111's. I will put into the museum in both guises.
To answer a question i dont know what model it is pro/pro xl, the top tube is 19 and a half from centre to centre. Perhaps on of you will be able to throw some light on the actual model?
cheers scott. ;D

some useless "get" never let you down on the tuffs did they Scott?  very unreliable and unacceptable in my opinion, who was it again? :)

:o Now dont shoot the messenger but i got told by an American seller that Looptail Rippers stopped being made at the end of 83 and also that they dont have PK in the serial number (that came later). Now i'm just getting into Rippers so dont have a go...i'm just passing it on and i dont know if its true or not...but there you go!!! :o

You know i suggested a FAQ section in the suggestions bit...an I.d. section would be good as well,it would save boring the nads off everyone who have already answered these questions. It would also be handy for people who are buying(as there are Fakes out there as we all know). :'(

Nice job, looks great. You must be chuffed with that one?
Did you have probs deciding what shade to go with? I'm trying to find a paint code that matches close to the se blue...i saw a TRANSCO van that looked right but there was no way i was gonna stop and ask the gasman what his paint code was  ;D ;D

Its hard to decide whether to paint the landing gear blue or leave them chrome....too many choices with rippers.
i toyed with the idea of matching the paint to my wobbly headsetted 2005 ripper(thats a nice baby blue...but its metallic,so i dont know..and its not all that authentic either).

Nice pics mate, cant wait to see the finished article.  :o :o
