I use a No Fear Optimal MX helmet, Brand X body armour and knee/shin pads.  You can never have too much protection.

definitely go for helmet and pads. us oldies don't heal as quick as the young 'uns. we only have a limited amount of time left to ride, so i don't want to spend any time injured.

For the record, a have a protec helmet and wethepeople kneepads and elbow pads.

I never race with out my dianese knee and shinnys on these days. Also if your jumping the big stuff a mx lid is a must I think, I've even smashed a troy lee D2 before, I go for the troy lee se now. I cant stand riding in those body suits, but I've got dodgy shoulders now, so I probably should have.

Stu, why would anyone want to buy your sweaty old shin pads?? ;)

I know I should read more carefully before i post. ::)

The old legs went and I was a bit scared down the first straight in the final, those kids are soooo fast and they dont care if they crash. At last I didn't need the protection i'd put on. Making the A final in EA F1 winter racing is an good result i think, I called it 8th out of 28.
