Managed to chip (5p size) fresh powder coat last nite!!

BMX - when I was 12 and trying to race with Z-Rims.......I was 11 stone at the time

Non BMX - 415v transformer that’s still live!! and metal screwdrivers don't mix......surprised me that it could punt a chunky monkey like me so far across the workshop

Couldn't find a tub big enough to do a vinegar bath for my Tour2 frame, so I soaked a load of rags in vinegar, wrapped them around the frame and then wrapped them in cling film to keep them in place. Stuck it in the shed and left it for 24 hours. Came back to find towels were rust coloured in places, with a few bright vivid green streaks. Totally ruined the chrome.

Spending about three hours trying to get a chainring fitted and clear from the rear chainstay with washers and allsorts, then realising I was putting it on the left side

BMX : while the bike was upside down i put the drive side in the wrong side

didn't realise till I turned the bike back over

Non BMX : left the water running upstairs once ... Had to have a nice new floor downstairs through the insurance

so it wasn't all that bad ..

BMX - selling my NOS white Goose, my second ProClass and all the shite i've only had to buy back a few months later for more......

Non BMX - just about all the jobs i've had in the last ten years since I stopped working on site and became an Engineering Manager. I don't miss the rain and the cold too much, but I miss the craic and banter something fierce.......

bought a brand new standard lengthy f&f for £450, hammering the headcups in using a block of wood for about an hour and they still wouldnt go in. decided to remove the wood and just use the BIG hammer, put a big dent in the toptube when i missed.

still, it lasted 10 years before i snapped it.

Non BMX . Selling my 1970 rally prepped mini cooper to buy a new washing machine .

Bought it back off the guy a couple of years later after he had done a ground up resto and he got bored with it . So not so bad

Taking a 'right now' shit with a chainring still in the costic, by the time I was back it was half eaten. Nice pro neck too, wouldn't be some well used sr would it. Sods law.
