A question for the gt performer/vertigo experts

Hi there, im in need of some help please as im new to the whole oldschool bike building,

im looking to build my dream bike 86ish gt performer in all white

yesterday i clicked buy it now on ebay to what was listed as an early ninetys gt performer pro
but after looking closer i think its a vertigo still a cool bike but not what i really wanted

by the looks of it both gt pro performers and vertigo's has 'S' shaped down tubes but the section of frame behind the seatpost is differnt

could any of the people on here that know their stuff please let me know what it is i've agreed to buy

I found this on the BMXmuseum website after looking at the gallery and it looks like the same bike, and its saying its a 92 vertigo
if i'm being ripped off then i'm not happy as its not what its listed as

If you PM Steven Costa I'm sure he can help ... top bloke and a master GT builder 

If this shot below is a Pro Performer then the down tube is different - only one bend at the top on a Pro Performer of this age... maybe different on newer ones

mm not sure ed, think it may have chnged in the early 90's    costa is the bloke to ask the pic you hve shown is an 80's pro performer.

the slope on the end of the tube behind the seat tube says Vertigo more than Performer...

it isn't a 80's performer-does look like a vertigo done as a performer rep -sure steve will confirm this

im afraid to say you`ve had your stides down mate and get back in contact with the guy.... its a vertigo.... the  performer does have the double s-bend  and a tube that goes rigth across the back of the seat tube with GT stamped on each end, think the drop outs are diferent too. sory dude

id say £50 60 max theres no factory parts on it from what i can see. hope this helps

I paid £40 for a 97 Vertigo with pretty decent parts.

The parts on this are shitey
