ACS Z Rims - Spoking service
« on: November 06, 2010, 05:26 PM »
Hi Guys
Does anyone build Z rims? I have been told that lots of wheel builders dont like to touch them because they cant get the tension in the spokes.  I have a brand new pair waiting to be built up, any takers?
Thanks

Simo

In my experience they are no harder to build than any other wheel, easy to do yourself too  :daumenhoch:

I have built a few sets of Z-rims now and they are no harder than ordinary wheels.  Just make sure you get the correct spoke size as they use slightly shorter spokes than normal due to the raised section in the middle of the rim.

Thanks for that, I was thinking of small suzue hubs, what size spokes should I get? or would large hubs be better?  (going on a Ripper)

Thanks mate  ;D
