Well the last few years I have been taking Ollie to Bristol BMX Club in Patchway, Bristol. This year I decided that standing watching, drinking coffee, had to change, so I thought I would have a go !
My aspirational target was not to come last in every race, I started in F1 and found things pretty tough and it wasn't long until I dropped down to F2.
About a month in and being beaten by 14 year olds, I was ready to pack it in and give up, I felt truly embarrassed and wondered what the hell was I doing.
I decided to have one more go, and whilst in the pens with the kids
, one of the little buggers said ' It's great to see you having a go' ! The following race, I didn't come last, I came fourth
So reached my target.
Now most weeks, I do come in last, however I'm getting a bit faster and more confident
I was away this week so Ollie picked up our trophies presented by Marcus Bloomfield, Ollie came 2nd in his age group and I came 3rd

Nice one Nick mate,
Mind you, you'd better enjoy it as you Bristol boys won't be winning else out and certainly not the carling cup.

Well Done Nicky Boy
truly proud of you & Ollie and fair play to keeping stuck in when things got tough
i know how much it can get to you i mean heck, you know how many times you've had to calm me down at racing
Just for this, i promise to get my ass upon a bike and do that 'Rider of the Year' award some justice.
See ya soon. Zak

Nick, ace one mate, especially for having the balls for carrying on, and you got the rewards for sticking with it
Big up to Ollie as well, man that lad is progressing
