Apart from those pedals, which make me squirm at bit, i really beat my meat over this build. I like a sturdy looking JMC, most go racey-light.

A bike that should never ever get split Jaan. Top work.  :daumenhoch:

Another "great build Chris"
For me I like it best without the pads and I'm loving the IRC rubber,
I like the old school peds :daumenhoch: even though I have a rat trap scar on my left shin which wasn't really the pedals fault, it was caused by a rear coaster ::)

Chris, another stormin' build.  :4_17_5:

I agree about the pedals, however, this bike screams era correctness, so they're right for the build.  :daumenhoch:

You can't get them repop, think Chris is good friends with Indiana Jones.

I grew up going to NBL/NBA events - pretty much the only pedal you'd see was rat traps in the very early 80's. I love the double braced KKTs, they're much sturdier than the single braced version but also much harder to find especially in OG black. I got lucky and came across a bike shop that's still had a few sets in their boxes. That's the good news, the bad is that he knew what they were worth...

Darrell would have raced KKTs through to retirement but sponsorship (not preference) lead to change.

It's all about preference, probably DX or Hutch are my all time performance favourites but there's very little disputing that rat traps are synonymous with the time.  :)

Lovely bike that! :smitten:  Interesting comments about the pedals. I've never liked them myself but I'm not sure why!! :idiot2: Perhaps I thought they were too dated or cheap by the time I got into bmx in or around '82. In any case I now think it's great to see them on such a classy build as this, particularly if they were DY's pedals of choice.

Very nice Chris love the tyres, I always prefered those and comp 2s to comp 3s. :daumenhoch:
If in doubt flat out.

Chris not only are you prolific but your builds are always spot on .... It's all about era correctness and the little details for me ... The pedals are spot on for me .... As for the tyres .... And that holed shotgun 1 is my favourite seat of all time! Lush lush lush !  :daumenhoch: :smitten: "wantit"
