skyway Ta XL
« on: February 17, 2013, 09:36 PM »
Has anybody got one of these, with the 24" tuffs? What are they like to ride? Heavy?

Thinking of investing me self ;)

I have one, built with 24" tuffs, its a great bit of fun for street cruising and towpath riding. Its not particularly heavy but not exactly light either.
Depends what you're used to or what you want it for. I personally wouldn't use it as a race frame.

I have one too. I tried a set of tuffs but moved to spokes as they are much lighter!
Nice frame for rolling round on.  :daumenhoch:

Thanks for this guys, like yours Matt, looks the part ;) I was thinking of just riding back and forth to the pub really, I look a bit to large for my 20" bmx's these days :'(

What sort of money did you guys pay? Where did you buy from?

Frame, Forks and Bars from Planet BMX/Coloured Tuffs.

Cant remember exactly what i paid, but i reckon altogether i've spent near £600 on it. So not really a cheap roll around.

Turns lots of heads though and always generates interest and questions form people.

My build was around 1300 complete, inc 2 sets of wheels! Also from Planetbmx. (frame/ forks/ bars around 500 inc import I think?!)

Nice that Martin, I've just got one myself and got some black tuffs through this morning.  Was thinking along the same lines as yours as far as colour  :daumenhoch:
