Some very early history
« on: May 26, 2006, 02:11 AM »
I put this together today for Rick Twomey.
Eric Richter's "Rick's Bike Shop" special

You guys probably saw it in "Joe Kid"
It is one of the original diamond shaped frame as modified by Rick Twomey

Originally built for and raced by Eric "Rocketman" Richter

Hand painted graphics:

Ashtabula non-stamped reinforced fork
Motomags I s
Carlisle Tire front/Unknown rear
Schwinn BB, Diamond Cranks, Sprocket, Headset and seatclamp.
Union Pedals

Box Bars
Schwinn 1966 AS stem
Waffle Grips
Royce Union Stamped Kashima saddle

As you can tell, the back end was pff a Scwinn Stingray, front end was modified to handle longer cranks

History for sure.

I also put together an even earlier version of the Rick's Bike Shop special (circa 73) and was recently shown at the Los Angeles CA Vintage show
