« on: November 15, 2009, 01:42 PM »
Finished and posted this on here back in August but have now swapped a few parts and wondered what you all think-changes are Black an White KMC Chain(Dordymush suggested I change the chain in the original post),F1 Grips,Mongoose Pro-Class Bars,Odyssey Seat Clamp,Takagi Mongoose stamped Spider.
As it was in August:

liking that, thought there was too much check in before pic but a little more seems to have worked a treat  :daumenhoch:

Yep, it's slick. Made me smile. Just needs a few hours thrash round some "childhood-quality"jumps to get some dirt on her and a few bits hanging off..... Authentique.
Never saw many grand prix models did ya? what was the thing with them then? short production run or oddball frame or something?

Looks good mate  :daumenhoch:

Think I would be tempted to stick a Tioga/Takagi  Black chainring on then your bolts are at the outer edge of the spider   :-\ . ie 130 BCD as opposed to sugino's 110 BCD
WANTED : Old school BMX patches/sew on badges ......  please  :)

Sorry mate not for me, don't think the check works with the bike or the decals.
I'd be going down this road, classic colour combo.. but its just my opinion.  ;)

Cheers for the comments good and bad,I dont mind a honest critic  :police: I think because this is a low end race/high end street model made and sold by Ammaco in the U.K and not the U.S thats the reason their is less around-I have a black Takagi Chain Ring and will try it out when I find it-Scary, the cheques were born from me having the saddle lying around and the tie in with the Grand Prix chequered flag, you have given me an idea custom Black and White Check decals  ;)
