Timmo , listen to Pete ( Quadrophenia ) ^^^^^^ because he has the OG finish parts . He's ya man to work with initially . There were a number of "Black Chrome" finishes from bitd but most if not all were completely different in process and appearance .

DB Harry Leary Turbo - kinda bluey tint .
Mongoose Pro Class - more grey/bronzy .
Vector MKII - I've an OG one , nowt like those above  ;D

If i remember rightly the gt black chrome was a process of the standard chrome being subject to very high voltages therefore turning the chrome black.
It was very hard wearing due to it still being chrome.

So the black chrome you will be looking for will be very dark compared to the rest!!
I think im right but age has kicked in and I also suffer from the aftermath of spending most my youth at raves if you know what I mean.
So I could be talking shite!!!!

Thanks for the replies All,i will get in touch with Q.to see if he can help.I also have a mk2 Vector but i cant remember them doing one in black chrome. The HL Turbo, although really nice is completely the wrong shade, mine was quite a dark shade. It was actually the bike that Mark Cracknell went on to win the Brits at Derby in 84/85.I bought it from Holt cycles where he worked for a short spell, they owned the bike,he just rode it i think if my memory serves me well.Cheers Tim
