« on: October 20, 2009, 07:32 PM »
I got a PK XL last month from the states.....can someone confirm the top tube lenght of a PK XL  1" head, proper breaks  :daumenhoch: not sure of year  ???

I've measured mine and I get 20 1/2 "

I also have another one thats away been polished...and I'm sure that one is longer....could be wrong...................would'nt be first time  :uglystupid2:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

trouble with anodise is if you dont polish the hell out of it so theres no marks in the alloy,  the anodise wont look right, as its very translucent, and obviously you wont be able to do the forks the same....

some of these candy colours look like anodise and if you get someone like SBD on here to do it, it will look mint... with matching forks....

We have just got an annodising firm to do our panels!!

He said if you can feel a scratch etc, etc then the anodising process wont get it out!

Our fist lot of panels were cut by laser and they were all scuffed.  Nothing deep but you could feel it.   We told them to redo them.  I couldn't understand why they'd send them out like that in the first place.   The 2nd lot of panels were alot better but still one or two marks that you could see but couldn't be felt.

I haven't seen the results yet so hopefully they came out alright!!

We are getting the clear anno but he said they could do any colour!!  :)

Good idea fella, its going to be a racer and the way I ride it will get a few knocks  :D

Just picking a colour...I've got a Specialized MTB in Brown and I love the colour...maybe SBD could match iy up...
