My first GT build...budget even
« on: March 13, 2006, 10:42 PM »
Recently realized I don't have a GT in the stable, so I took this beat up old frame I had and Johnny Johnson had it repowdered.  At the same time, I had a Boss fork done in black for another bike.  When i saw them together I had an idea of putting together a bike with a bunch of leftover parts I have lying around. Sooo....

Not exactly killer but definitely under $200 or so

Nippon brakes w/ Matthauser Shoes
Unknown seat Clamp
Shimano SX pedals
Tioga Crankset

GT Frame
Boss Fork
GT Hubs
GT Stem
GT bars
GT post
GT seat (Thanks Willinois)

ACS Z-Rims
Tange Headset with Tioga fork Clamp
Cheesy Brake lever
Mushroom Grips
Yellow Asahi Spokes

Comp III copies
39-15 Gearing
Tioga Spider
Tioga BB

It will be my daily rider now

Reilly,

All your builds are killer, but even your budget bike comes out not looking like a cheap job - I like it :daumenhoch:

if thats a cheap build then i would hate to see you splash out rick. Like it, gt is an important make to have in the stable.
