just built this up, got the f+f,seat cranks from Kdw712 its a 1987 Free Agent pro xl or something.
Been out for a spin today at Yeadon and first impressions are favourable! extra length is a big bonus :D
most of the bits have been swapped from my haro, apart from a 901. will swap out grips, chainring and rebuild wheels with sealed hubs. now all i need is more practice before Preston. 8)

I have one in powder blue & though not true old school, it qualifies for the class & will be much easier to handle. At over 6' tall riding a true old schooler is a complete nightmare even on a tame track & i wouldn't even attempt to get 1 round a modern track without having a team of surgeons track side. Saying that, easy isn't a phrase you can readily use as todays tracks give the old school geometry a damn good working over but at least with a 21.5+ top tube there's some room to manouver.

the frame and forks are 1987 vintage so this is one of the first long framed race bikes giving a bit more knee room.
to be honest i think its the modern tracks combined with os ridin style that gives me a hard time, think i would struggle on any bike!
learnin to manual is the way forward. :daumenhoch:
