I've just got a MTB and if I like that more I think I will spend more tme doing x country and less racing, if that's possible....

I have a love/hate relationship with racing.  I love doing it, but hate not being very good at it.

XC riding is boring compared to BMX, Dave.  Too much hard work (climbs) for too little reward (descents in this country are too short).  Riding in the Alps is the best mountain biking I've ever done.  Gotta get back there for a week in 2010.
