My own (from new) as ridden in BMX Beat, Redline Prostyler.Gonna be starting the restoration soon! Couple of pics to keep you going.

My honest opinion would be to give that a really good clean (not respray or re-powder).

I think you'd regret it otherwise (its near impossible to find one in this original condition).

That's a really nice survivor but the welding (especially the head tube + gusset) isn't the prettiest I've seen.  Were all Redlines like that?

The quality went slightly downhill in my opinion when Redline started getting the frames made in Japan (from memory around 1983 I thinks)

The quality went slightly downhill in my opinion when Redline started getting the frames made in Japan (from memory around 1983 I thinks)

Odd that as most people consider Jap made frames and forks to be far superior in terms of welding quality and finish than american built frames and forks bitd 

Cracking looking frame and fork set though, a good once over with a Meguiars clay bar and some Meguiars Scratch X and then some NXT polish and that will look fantastic

Jesus, do you still own everthing from back then, that is mint, I would definetly leave it as it is, Original is best imo.....Looking forward to seeing it built. Good luck.....

Dude.. what US made Prostyler??? I don't have one and was always under the impression that all Prostylers were Japan made??? 
Oh and my Scorpion is finally gettin a lick of paint at the minute fella
