new 2009 trail boss
« on: July 08, 2009, 08:20 PM »
just went into my emails and my frame has arrived at zeal today. custom 250s with 21"tt 10mm dropouts and a gusset up front no seat clamp and seat stay brake with mid bb

idea was to look like an old trail boss but modern.

havent even seen it yet but i just went onto sbc website and they are remaking the trail boss now.... cool or what

i hope my custom build prompted it. gutted i havent got the new trail boss though

i ordered mine in raw so i could check the quality of the work. if it looks like the one on their site i'll be stoked  :smitten:

been eyeing up that frame on ricks facebook for some time. i'm thinking it for my next frame!

as for colour, give me a day or two and i'll post up my mid school trailboss/trls250 in its new livery ready for next week at mk. i've out done myself this time! its a pearl electric blue, stunning colour!

just for debate though, certain frames suit certain colours, just like cars. do you think a trailboss would look right in red. suppose it depends on the red, i had a burgundy one which looked ace, pillar box red i'm not so sure about. they always seems to look better in dark and earthy colours

your right philby. earthy colours do look better. this is a 250s custom that was built to look like the trail boss. i ordered it before rick put out the new trail boss. 8)

im shat at making my mind up when it comes to colour. the olive green colour is cool or brown. not to int the raw look but maybe i'll give it a go until i decide what i really want. i dont have a scooby what im gona do yet ::)

Must be soo nice to get your own frame made to your own spec :smitten: I would have gone for chain stay mounted brake lugs as the original though.... :)

Take your time over the colour dude, if you rush into a decision chances are you'll end up wanting to change it :daumenhoch:

dark chocolate brown would look particularly nice if you got all chrome/polished bits. especially with those wheels. maybe a matt camo green! army style!

just on the raw look though, i've just dug this out, this was my second trailboss (had 5 overall). think this was about 98ish, taken at derby storm, fookin beautiful bike, profiles, superpros, t1 pegs, probably one of my favourite setups
