Ripper XL race bike redone (parts swapped again lol)
« on: July 07, 2009, 08:14 PM »
A few of you have seen my old Ripper xl I race on from time to time (some from the front, some from behind but most people recognise the underside as it slid along the track lol) and it was in a very sorry state, drop outs butchered by the previous owner and VERY battle scarred:-

drops

after a trip to here www.giaengineering.co.uk

now I dont know if I am missing my GPZ1100 or secretly wanted a green Street-Beat but I decided on bright Kawasaki green

and built up it looks a little like this (but needs decals to finish)

Thanks to Gav at GIA for the repair and Kirk for paint and Emma for twirling the spanners for me  :LolLolLolLol:

all opinions good and bad welcomed

 :) DINGO :)

p.s this ISNT a show pony but a bike that will get used in anger  :2gunsfiring_v1:

Thanks for the comments guys,

I wanted it to look different and it certainly does, I just put some large SE decals on the downtube in red and now it looks like a fruit salad chew  :LolLolLolLol:

Not a fan of green (the black looked great) but sterling metal work on those drops :daumenhoch:

I think after you've rode it for a few years Mark, i think you should go back to the what it was with the lush black and the 90's decals :smitten:
