Hmmm... how do you get a pedal out of a primo hollowbite arm -left side- when the steel insert just turns >:(? I am aware the thread is reversed. New arm.....

Take the pedal out with the insert attached & then get it removed from the spindle. Put the insert back in with some loc-tite or similar

If the alloy is knackered it can have a helicoil put in it. Do the inserts screw into the alloy then? Mine hasnt come out- its just turned a little in the arm. Got to ride today so i'll try and remove the pedal later.

Sorted- combination brute force and a large mallet.

imo Hollowbites are great cranks! I've not had the issue with the pedal inserts (so far) & they are light (using a BSD Ti spindle, naturally) & certainly strong enough for me :daumenhoch:

I must admit I do like the look of them and I have a ti spindle also so they are light. The only problem I've had is catching my jeans (I know- not girls jeans) on the clamp part of the arm. Its even chucked me headfirst down a ramp  Been thinking about gettin' some mcneil conjoined.I got them off quad pete so if I change them he might duff me up   :-\.
