Repairing tech 3's
« on: May 17, 2009, 09:13 PM »
My black tech 3 lever has a crack/split.  I'd taken it off to spruce it up, when I next came back to it me thinks one of the family might have trod on it by mistake :(

Anyway the split is on the top - where the collar loops through.  Its no use now, when fitted you can't tighten it up.

Can you repair them / has anyone tried?

You may be able to get it a spot of tig weld on it and file it down but it would need re finishing.

probably cost more to repair than replace, and if you do repair it will always remain the weekest link and may snap again...
R.I.P  O.M. Far short of the finish line...
