keeping tyres in good nick..
« on: April 03, 2009, 09:19 PM »
just wondered whats the best way of looking after  tyres assuming they are on a show pony?

ie i want to stop dry rot/ cracking etc. I'm sure central heating probably does the rubber no good?

I was thinking of some sort of spray that might keep the rubber supple without disolving it?

any thoughts?

I use this stuff: http://www.armorall.com/products/view_product.php?product_id=8&main_group=1&category_index=protectants

Just be careful not to get it on your rims though if you will be riding it - your brakes will not work if you do  ;D
