tips on painting over chrome

hi all got this dyno awhile back and the chrome has flaked off on part of the frame so was thinking of spraying it and was hopeing some of you would have some tips for me as to regards painting over the chrome  :daumenhoch: is it just a case of sanding it to ruff the surface up so the paint will stick any help would be great thank cheers scott :daumenhoch:

definately shot blast it , but you dont have to powder it, diy would be the cheapest option once blasted, chrome can be a right bastard to get off though even with a blaster ...

i would take it to a plater and get the chrome process reversed its much kinder on the frame :daumenhoch:

anyone know the cost of getting the chrome process reversed as i was thinking of just ruffing up the chrome and spraying it  ;)

Place down in Portsmouth charges about £30 for a frame  :daumenhoch:
