flight spindles
« on: March 03, 2009, 01:42 PM »
My current setup is as follows:

401 full wrap arms on what seems to be a new spindle (generic, proline or double pinch flight) with a new profile sealed BB.  The spindle is not threaded like the early 401 dimpled spindles.  I found out this when I bought new 401 bolts that didnt fit the current spindle, they were too big.  The current bolts are alot smaller.

My question:

Can I run the current profile sealed BB on an old 401 dimpled threaded spindle?

thanks

I now know you cant.  Next question is this:  Do the double pinch spindles use the same bolts as the 401 spindles?

Nope, they are different.
