Ripper Build.
« on: February 04, 2009, 12:01 AM »
Hi,
Heres a pic of my first build, early 80's Looptail, got it of Munners (cheers Buddy), brakes off (SE Bmxer), Wheels from Gary-West Brom, and Levers from Spen (cheers livesafer!), rest is bought from usual haunts. Its not 100% correct, but budget/patience has a toll. One thing still needed-rear DC brake cable!

Like I say, its not here yet, but over time bits will be added, but main thing is bike I wanted BITD I'm looking at.

Cheers DT

Nice build fella. Classic combo for sure.

Get young Stevie to work you up some black n gold pads for it and it'll look a treat!

Tis very nice that.  Love black/gold rippers, even the retro's are lovely, but you cant beat a loopy.

Cheers Buddy,
Its not there yet, but over time little bits will be added, what sets it off are the cranks-lucky to get them. The other Ripper, I'll start now-like you gonna ride it, its a burnished frame with black unstamped LG's, thinking of sending them to SBD to be done Candy Blue, then get Baby blue decals for F and F's. Bang on a pair of alloy hubbed tuffs, Lazerlite bars, everything will be survivor and in blue and black. We'll have to go for a ride when you get it done!

Hi,
The decals were already on the LG's, so Munners is best placed to answer that question, but will be looking for similar size on another pair of LG's soon.
