i tried it on 2 occasions about 3 years apart i guess  for about 1 week  just needed more time i  but was scarry.
bmx wouldnt be where it is today if it wasn for people junking them ,i still think riders could dial in so much more wih them
so i dont rearly have the answer  a bit of both but that doent work either.

well for some reason i feel i can go higher and flow better as i havent got a brake i can pull on before a trick
but i can do more tricks with the brake than without so i would rather the brake

your brake levers can injure you. FACT
(see my manky yellow hand for proof)

but then how many injuries might you get without brakes?

i think bikes look better without brakes and as others have said there are some very good brakeless riders out there,

and i admire as much anyone who can operate two brakes.

as for me i found i am having enough fun with just my rear brake, not enough skill to go brakeless or two brakes yet.

Some great comments dudes here's my take:

I love the brakeless thing even though I ride with two brakes myself I would love to go brakeless but I'm just not good enough to justify it.
I think good brakeless riders are just awesome to watch so much flow and the rate of progression is incredible.
I dont think any riders should start out brakeless or go brakeless untill they have a high level of ability such as being able to manual consistently without touching their brake, the amount of brakeless riders I see rolling down a transition on their back wheel and ending up on their arses makes me laugh and think why are you putting yourself through that.
I love the clean look of brakeless bikes.
I'm on the fence with the collision thing because as long as I can remember riders have been smashing into each other even when they run brakes, is it not just skatepark etiquette that causes many of these collisions? also most skateparks do have a at least one brake policy but they dont seem to enforce it I'm guessing because they can't afford to.

Please have a look at Chase Hawks riding in this vid (red bike) now thats brakeless flow as it should be :smitten:

I think they're all silly young boys  ::)

I'm a grumpy old man so I say what I like and I like what I say  ::)

Still think 'nose picks' look better with a brake though!

I think grammar and punctuation are much more important than whether you use brakes or not!  >:D

Im actually going to start a movement - PlusBrake riding.
I will fit TWO brakes to my forks, TWO to the rear, and add a coaster brake too.
And also do footjam nosepicks while having both front brakes on at the same time.
Anyone care to join me?

I've been wondering about removing my brake for a while now cause I like the clean look of a bike. For the past few weeks I've tried as much as I can to ride with the 'death grip' - without a finger hovering over the lever. Its really difficult to get used to.And absolutly terrifying on vert or going a bit lairy on an air.For some reason having the hovering finger makes me feel safer. Its just like my blanket.I think I'll stick with a brake.
