Me and a couple of pre-BMX pics

Me in 1977 (aged eight) on something which resembled a small Chopper


And this will make you laugh, me again on my trike (or on the back of it) in 1974/5 (aged 5 or 6). I used to push along with by standing on the back and then tip it on 2 wheels, and that was before that Haro fella!!, so when am I gonna be credited with the birth of freestyle??

ha. that reminds me of a small kid that used to play out on his trike when we were all on out bmx's and we used to have a go on it standing on the back like that.....we even did Vanderolls on it....was the only way any of us lot would manage one  ;D

Wrong!! It wasn't a tomahawk either - it was a hand-me-down from my brither who had it in the mid-late 60s. Here's a better pic of it... dig the chick?? I still got it!!

Just noticed the PK ripper style downtube on that blue bike.. and torker top tubes

That seriously looks like a Raleigh Budgie, I had one of those around '74, quickly followed by a Tomohawk.

ah...the budgie...thought they were even smaller than a tomahawk.....i remember a yellow budgie frame in me mates backyard. it was a toddlers bike really, that cant be it...

that apollo looked a lot like the chipper !

i remb i had a 3spd raleigh jeep with cow horns and knobbly tyres
