grip gripe!
« on: December 23, 2008, 01:19 PM »
Getting my new grips on was easy.

however, now that they are on I've found that they are way too long >:(

I have the Subrosa Almeda grips which are lovely apart from the length, the bends in my 84 performer bars means that my brake lever would be on the little hump in the curve.

Does anyone know of a modern comfy grip that has more of an old school length?

I intend to ride this bike as often as possible, and I know that putting new bits on an old bike offends some of you (you'd be more offended if you saw me chucking it down the road)

but function is more important to me  than vintage accuracy right now.

any help as usual would be much appreciated :daumenhoch:

the problem doesn't lie with the grips, the grips are fine, but your bars aren't wide enough.

Yep, chop them down and use the bar ends that came with the grips. Sorted.
