:) Didn`t the UCI say no to a seperate class for these? TBH,I think it looks good and is priced sensibly.I`d like to have  a spin before I could give an honest view.I fail to see what the point is of these.Maybe it`s to appeal to the 24"/non-suss MTBers, whose bikes are now really just cruisers anyway....

Yeah the new class idea was turned down, but I`m not sure whether you can use them in the existing classes or not  ???

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Think this one is more about trails/parks than racing, though the question about  26" is valid-maybe allow 26ers in with cruisers subject to a poll perhaps? I`d like to know what other manufacturers are "toying" with 22" bikes, and also availability of rims/forks and tyres.Think it`s too early to say how popular these will be.The BMX market is already crammed with "clone"parts/bikes so maybe something a bit different will pay off?

There is a full spectrum of sizes now, 16,18,20,22,24,26 and theres 29s aswell.

Not many gaps left to fill, you pays your money etc...

There is pics in andy shoharas b/day thread of someone riding park on a 26in bike, with hydraulic spinner for the brakes.
So pretty much anything goes these days.

How easy is it going to be for tyres and tubes?

Personally I'd wait a while until you stock any. The last thing you'll need is stock that's not shifting. Wait to see if it's going to be popular.

i magine it's a nice size for racing, not quite a cruiser but a bit kore bike than a 20. Not sure where it would figure in parks/street. Want to see one in the flesh to get a proper idea of it's actual size first though. maybe take one for a spin. If it's very different then maybe it should get it's own class, or at least be included with 20's not cruisers.

Is it a BMX or MTB what defines it as one or the other? we already have 24" MTB's running single speed and rigid forks.

id wait a good long while dave.

18" is perfect for my little one, but i wouldnt like to predict the chances of him having an "a final" on it. its neither here nor there as far as classes are concerned. if it were a freestyle bikie, i think it would have more chance.
I want to touch ORB

think of the investment it would take from nearly every company in bmx,

frames, forks, rims, tyres, spokes, bars would all have to be made in 2 sizes!

and why?

because some old dude felt a bit silly riding "20 wheels? :LolLolLolLol:

no,

sorry,

its a fooking daft idea and a gimmick.

I think 22" tyres are readily available, from several manufacturers according to the website, and apparently you can use 20" tubes.

it's shown being ridden at Creation, so it's  a park bike too.

I wonder what made them go 22" though instead of just launching a range of 20", maybe there's too many established players in the 20" game.
must be pretty tough starting your own bike company so a gimick is probably what's needed.

I'd like a bit more info about their ideas and why they've made this.

spending more money on something that doesnt need improving is the answer.
i would still like to sit my bum on one and rearly hope it feels wrong.
i just havent the time or effort to have another sized bmx in my thoughts tbh.
