What a difference a few changes make
« on: September 03, 2008, 04:06 PM »
Thought it was time for a few changes on my Cali Goose rider in readiness for the Open meeting here in Glasgow on 14th September.

So out went my z rims I've been using (will soon be up for graps) and in came some UKAIs, and a Tuff Neck Pro stem to replace my SR stem.

WOW!!! - The bike feels so much better. Nice, sturdy and ridget.  :smitten: I put most of it down to the stem. You wouldn't have thought a couple of simple changes made such a difference. I'm well excited. I've also got a set of Renthal bars waiting in the wings which will be added for the Winter Series.

This game is full of surprises. Even after 26 years but I guess bitd I never had a chance to use quality parts.  ;D

P.S. - Link for Open meeting -

Cali was the second bike i had bitd, much needed tonic after a couple of races on a tuff burner!!!

I would find it way too short nowadays though. Racing on Z's, no...i'd be bouncing around like (zebedee) something out of magic round about over every set of doubles :4_17_5:

good luck on yer opren meeting  :4_17_5:
