Mines an early 92 and the tubes don't touch so that would seem to reinforce the idea that the 93 models had their tubes touching.

The 0992 means it was made in September 1992.

So it's it's Birthday this month.

Who's gonna be the first to build a Charles Townsend replica Amtrac with these wheels on it?  Charles was one of the first riders to run Spin carbon mag wheels when he was on Robinson.

I've never seen a set of spins for sale so they must be as rare as.

i think most of them snapped in the 90's

I thought that may be the case, a few friends had them on they're mountain bikes and they all snapped them. 

I would have thought the smaller wheels would have been stronger though.
