Ozrick's new cruiser (and my new Burner)
« on: July 17, 2008, 10:10 PM »
so Ozrick (yes, that the name his folk gave him) found himself in possession of a Burner he didn't want.
If I buy him a cruiser we can swop. so we did.

He found this Hawk, USA made cruiser, 6061 square ali tubes, in Nottingham on gaybay (that's more relevant than you all know eh Gaz? I meaan Ozrick)

picked it up tonight:

Landing gears, Pitbull, GT 3 piece, DK stem and light as a feather.

and here's my MKII Super Tuff. cheers Gaz. sweet deal.

OD:  did you just nitrmors it and polish it?

the coating on Gaz's 24 seems to be a bit like the Super burner "super chrome" coating, ie a plastic layer
rather than paint or powder.

Pickle: you have no taste my man.

though I'll be having no balls soon, my collection is about to arouse the wife's suspicion.

im pretty sure it was the original paint, an yeh, just nitromorsed it but ran out of normal nitro and had to use nitro varnish n laquer remover that im gonna use on everything from now on as it worked qiucker, only thing is its not as gloopy as normal nitro so drips everywhere, to polish i just rubbed down with 1000 wet n dry then 1500 then 2000 then used autosol, didnt take long but the frame isn't perfect as has a couple of ding and it got to the point where it felt like i was polishin a turd :LolLolLolLol: so i just polished to a shine rather than tryin to get it like a mirror :daumenhoch:
