Got hold of an old 'Pro Star' '84 frame in chrome. Were these something to do with Diamondback bitd? I've also got a ProLite 'aero' frame and forks in chrome. Its got oval tubing.I dont remember these- is it any good? They are both a bit rusty but will polish up ok.Any pics would be good :daumenhoch:

So was mine. I remember thinking I'd rather have the bike above it though  :(

Were these something to do with Diamondback bitd?

Looking at those pics in the old ad above, the frames look almost identical apart from the gussets.

But BITD, I always thought Pro Star was just a budget in-house brand which Freewheeler Leisure Products introduced to complement the high end Diamond Backs they imported/distributed.

You are right about the frames being the same apart from the gusset 'cause I got a diamondback frame at the same time.

Yep, same my first bmx was a Pro Star. Loved it.

Check out the museum. There's a member on here who knows loads about them. He's got a few pics in the museum.

Happy days.  :smitten:
