REDLINE PRO-LINE CRANK - WHAT AM I MISSING???
« on: May 31, 2008, 11:11 AM »
These are the new ones, the single pinch jobbers. Ratty's installing instructions doesn't cover these new ones so can anyone help me with these? Want to know:

1) What should be in the box - have you got a photo of all the parts? Was bought off here a little while ago but they were used ones but in good nick and i'm not sure I have all the bits...
2) How do you fit them? Box didn't come with any instructions :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt  :)

The Prolines were wider arms with single pinch fitment. They come with exactly the same hardware as the twin pinch flites. They should fit exactly the same too, just one pinch bolt less to tighten on each side  :)

Guys,

Ok here are the photos of the Redline Proline crank what I bought a while back. Just had the spindle sent to me... but from looking at the box, it looks as if I have some bits missing. What do you reckon? Looks like that black part that goes around the nut is missing and inside that part of the arm (not where the pedal goes) looks as if something screws into that also?

Have I got everything here to fit it together or from what you can see, am I missing stuff?

Also what are the stages of fitting this crank to my gt?

Thanks,

Matt  :daumenhoch:

You can get the covers and spacers here, you will need MID for 19mm axle, not in stock.
http://www.customriders.com/prodshow.asp?prodid=10430&cat=10&parent=1001&sid=3
Or if you want spare bearings aswell
http://www.customriders.com/prodlist.asp?a=cat&cat=8&parent=1001&sid=3&sort=3
You want US or MID 19mm, all a MID bottom bracket is, is a US without the cups.
Chainring bolt
http://www.customriders.com/prodshow.asp?prodid=2164&cat=10&parent=1001&sid=3
There are 2 types of bolt 1 with a coarser thread
http://www.customriders.com/prodshow.asp?prodid=4967&cat=10&parent=1001&sid=3
If you want any help. PM me and I will give you my phone no.
Gary

I have a bolt set which might suit you, it was sold to me as being for flights but only came with 2 pinch bolts. Anyway it has all the bits, all bolts, spacer tube, top hat washer etc etc
I don't need it so you're welcome to it if you think it would be useful  :daumenhoch:
