Spider on Redline cranks
« on: April 26, 2008, 07:58 PM »
Can you use a spider on a set of redline cranks, have got a set coming for my race bike and prefer the flexibilty of a spider for gearing?????????
If one can be used does it have to be a certain type?
Thanks
Gary

Yep, you can use any Sugino, Takagi or power disc on them, all you need is a correctly sized top hat wahser although they should come with one if not Cyclesport and Alans sell them  :daumenhoch:.

yes you can. I currently have prolines on my laserlite with a sugino spider and chainwheel. as Marty says you need a top hat washer to bring the diameter of the spider down.

mine came with one but alans, etc have them
