can anyone id this disc, came on a firebird I'm restoring. Does the "P" stand for anything (back to front I know)

No, I think it is actually Pete's Precision Products  ;)  Your suggestion is funnier though.  One of my mates always thought VDC stood for 'Very Dull Chrome'  and CW was 'crappy welding'  :uglystupid2:

Petes Precision Products eh, not heard of them before, though you were having me on  :) where are/were they based?  Probably gonna put the disc in trade or for sale section. I'm after blue disc, seat clamp, and levers so see whats out there
