Haro gen1 build
« on: December 24, 2005, 10:31 AM »
Just got my decals through the post, and can't wait to get em on but  ...

Do they need to be in an exact postion on the frame and forks ? I'm guessing it's not vital, as they were probably all applied by hand when new, so they'd all be slightly different anyway.

Obviously I'll try not to put the downtube decals on the seat post tube  :uglystupid2:

No time to wait for replies  :D

Thought I'd better get the NOS leather sofa in too, fitted with repro 'FIRE HAZARD' cardboard tags by VERT-EGO  ;D

You're right bud, Biagio's declas are superb. The f/f came from a member of this very board  ;) thanks RAD & thanks Jay  :santa_afro:

Just waiting on a few bits to arrive, and she'll be ready for building. I'm feeling all childishly excited about this one  :-[ ;D

Yeah, it's been re-chromed Dave. It's not 100%, but then again, it's not NOS. I don't buy these things to win plastic trophys, I buy em cos I love em, and I really love this one  :santa_smiley:

I would have it in the front room, like you Dave, but the missus keeps making snidey comments about the DB med pro, and the Looptail Ripper I'm building in there at the moment. Think I might be pushing my luck with 3  ;D

I find the easiest and safest way, is to spray the area lightly with soapy water. Then you can slide the decals about until they are in the right place. Don't use too much water, just a light, fine spray. That way you aren't limited to one go, and they don't stretch if you need to lift them. Works a treat  :santa_afro:

Good luck  ;)

That is beautiful. The best freestyle f+f ever in my opinion. Anyone out there got one for sale. Defo my next project. Cheers, JB  :)

There is a frame only on U.S ebay at the moment, with a start price of $500. Saw it this morning while I was trawling through.

Had a bit of spare time today, so got a few bits fitted. Gotta get the flights re-chromed, and sort out some pedals. On the lookout for a blue Shotgun seat as well. Shame the one on ebay has dubious payment methods.
