1984 gen 1 haro sport survivor
« on: March 29, 2008, 01:43 PM »
I picked this up a couple of months ago and have been fighting back breaking out the nitromoors on an almost daily basis. It was built to a different spec, a very good spec actually. Couple of chats with the haro boys on here inspired me to build it as a survivor for the time being and i wanted to get close as poss to factory release parts. Bought it from a guy in Nottingham in August. The story goes that while on hols in Florida in 84, he saw the first gens in a shop called woodies bmx. He tried to buy one, but demand was high so a shop in Notts imported a f and f for the guy as a one off. Its been really well cared for over the years and has done the rounds around the family until he sensibly took it back. I went and collected it and what a nice fella, very interested in the scene and i hooked him up with this site. If you come across this Jay and Corrinne, thanks again :daumenhoch:

That's really clean, looks just perfect as is. You made the right decision not to restore it  :daumenhoch:

Really nice left a survivor and the spec looks pretty true to the original (which is how I built mine a couple of years back). Well done for fighting off the Nitromors urges Dom  :daumenhoch:
Why oh why do I still buy kids bikes!
