There were so many really smooth riders BITD. Which ones stick out in your mind?

couldn't say off the TV but i remember seeing Mason Smith at Bowes lion park in Stevenage many a time.....and boy he was super smooth on that shiney Gen1

I'm in agreement with Heywood. Saw Blyther up in Brum for the second Kelloggs and he was smooth as silk.

U.S. and overall would have to be Blyther....U.K. for me would be Dave Young...really the first UK rider I saw who was super smooth. First time I saw him ride was when I was riding at a comp in Washington (Tyne & Wear not U.S. lol) and there was me doing 5 foot by 5 foot airs and I watched Dave in practice and thought, wow, the geordie fella's not bad is he!

The Hudson bro's were a smooth bunch too and Carlo and Jason Lunn also.....CC and loads more but Dave stands out in my mind.

Brian Blyther was very smooth! He did a show in Belgium with Ron Wilkerson and they blew me away!

Terry Jenkins and Bob Haro's riding were so similar, I reckon if Terry hadn't of been goofy they would have been hard to tell apart. Both extremely smooth.

Ive got to go with Dinodog on this one cos I know Jenkins has transfered his smooth riding skills to his chatting up women efforts these days....his patter is so smooth its almost sickly!

Its funny after talking about stupples on this thread but do you remember that trick Ben did which sarted off like a stupple but after 180 he started sliding forwards with the bars still at 90 and one handed, it was soo nice.

yeah, i remember that on bmx beat. not quite a stupple but was as smooth as....

i still think that macky's boomerang in 85 was as clean as it gets. and he was only 12 at the time.

dave young on ramps was the smoothest i'd seen in the uk in the mid 80's
after that, Carlo was really smooth. Even riding today, I think he is probably one of the smoothest riders i will ever see.

Good shout on Jamie Morley, top bloke, very smooth. Spoke with him not so long ago, recovering well still, but will never ride any bike properly again

Im sure there was never anyone as smooth as Blyther, last time I spoke with him he said Bestwick was the smoothest rider EVER! Thats quite a compliment!

Of the people I used to ride with John Povah was pretty smooth as kid at least
