Joe Kid screening @ Southsea
« on: December 16, 2005, 09:00 PM »
Yo, between myself, Tiller, Portsmouth City Council & Southsea Roller Hockey club we have decieded to have a screening of Joe Kid on a Stingray & Southsea Skatepark on December 28th @ 7:30pm so if you fancy it come down.
Yes, I am fully aware that it'll be available to buy on dvd on 20th but I just thought it would be cool to have a get together & watch it on a 'big' screen considering we in the UK missed out on the fancy prem's so......

Bill, I just moved into new gaff & have been offline for over 3 weeks which, for an internet geek like me was hell & hence, I missed my news deadline but did you read the Mark Webb interview I did? Its good reading.
Yo Rob, all good here bro, a nice new big house to redecorate & lots of things BMX to tend too also, always on the go!!
I take it you all heard Mirra left Haro to start his own bike company? I texted him earlier to ask if I could get some inside info for next months column, mmmmmm......

Hey, no probs for the 'heads up', I'm hoping it'll be a good evening. Lots of old schoolers & new schoolers &..... NO TALKING!!
Also, dont bo**ock me for saying this here but I have a box of BMX Action Bike mags, Freestyle BMX, Bi-Weekly's etc which are just getting in the way here so, if anyone wants'em then I'll take'em to the screening & they can be picked up from there as long as they go to a good home &  if you make a mint out of them I get a cut?!!

I'm sorry to say that due to the fact we have no Joe Kid dvd (yet) we are going to have to postpone the screening at bSouthsea on 28th for now. As soon as the dvd gets here we will reschedule it & I'll let you all know ok? Hope you'll still make the effort to get down?
Thanks,
DJ

Did you get your copy from Alans in the end? If not, perhaps you could borrow mine. I don't know whether the post office is open on the 27th for special delivery, or you have access to couriers?

It'd be great to borrow a copy from someone but it's a bit of a hassle plus a lot people are now going to make plans to come down a week or so after the 28th so I think we'll leave it until. Thankyou for the offer though, very grateful.
When we finally do get around to having the screening we are also going to have an old school slide show courtesy of Peter Hawkins. For those of you who know Pete, you'll know he has been around forever & has been to every major freestyule event there is/was. He's got some stunning slides of Fiola, Campbell, Wilkerson, Dominguez, Ruffell, Nourie, RL, Mirra, Hoffman, Freeman, Vanderspek... you get the picture right? Anyway, when we finally get the date sorted the slide will run before or after the film.
