Hopefully i will be getting my redline painted this week, i was wondering about prepping it for paint, it has had a light coat of paint over the factory paint, that needs to come off, but i was wondering if i should get it beed blasted, or weather a decent sanding would be ok,

any ideas would be cool

If you're having someone else paint it for you, then get it blasted. It's very rare that the prep people does is ever good enough for the sprayer....

yeah i was thinking that, should i go for something gentle like bead blasting, will sand blasting be to harsh? my mate has mentioned a blast powder, that its like talk to the touch!!

I'm no expert to be honest, but I believe most commonly its media blasting thats used, and that is (I think) little plastic or nylon balls or summat? Not quite as aggressive as an old fashioned sand/shot blast.

Someone should come along who knows what they're on about hopefully, and put us both straight
